This Weekend - Jan. 8/9th, 2022

I hope you have had a lovely Christmas. I thought I would email following a cartoon I saw recently which simply said, “Christ is not just for Christmas”. We now enter a period of the church calendar called Epiphany where we focus on the arrival of the Magi and the revealing of the importance of Jesus. This seems like a good time to start some new things.
Perhaps you might want to attend a service or have a chat about faith. We now have a new pattern of services which looks like:
Each calendar month,
1st Sunday 10:30 service with Communion
2nd Sunday 09:00 service with Communion
16:30 Prayer and a pint in the Blue Bell
3rd Sunday 10:30 Family Praise (No Communion) followed by coffee
4th Sunday 09:00 Service with Communion from the book of Common Prayer
5th Sunday (if there is one) 10:30 Benefice service at King’s Cliffe
This Sunday (as a second Sunday), we have a 09:00 service with includes communion along with hymns, bible reading, prayers and a sermon. There is also a more relaxed way of exploring faith called Prayer and a pint. This will start about 4:30 ish in the Blue Bell pub. This usually starts with a short talk followed by some guided group discussions and ending with a Q&A session.
February sees the introduction of a Non-Eucharistic (No Communion) service called Family Praise. This is where the whole church family can come together and join in worship. There will be hymns and worship songs, prayers, activities, bible reading and a sermon. This will be a less formal service and afterwards there will be an opportunity to have a coffee and a chat. Children are particularly welcome.
Please get in touch if you have any questions of comments and I wish everyone a happy, healthy and joyful new year.
Grace and peace,
Keir
